IID Scheme
The Integrated Infrastructural Development (IID) Scheme is one of the key government programmes facilitated by COWE India through its partnership with the Ministry of MSME. The scheme supports COWE’s broader objective of strengthening women-led enterprises by improving access to infrastructure and creating an enabling environment for industrial growth.
COWE plays an important role in connecting its members with relevant implementing agencies at the central and state levels, helping women entrepreneurs understand and access infrastructure-related government support. The IID Scheme complements COWE’s initiatives to develop dedicated industrial spaces and shared infrastructure for women entrepreneurs.

Infrastructure Success & Future Vision
A major example of COWE’s infrastructure development is the 30-acre dedicated industrial estate for women at Toopran in Medak district, Telangana, recognised as the first of its kind in Asia. The initiative demonstrates how dedicated infrastructure can create opportunities for women entrepreneurs to establish and grow industrial enterprises within a supportive ecosystem.
Building on this experience, COWE continues to explore and plan similar industrial clusters and infrastructure initiatives across other states. These efforts aim to expand opportunities for COWE members, strengthen women-led businesses, encourage industrial participation, and create sustainable pathways for long-term economic growth.
