Young COWE
Launch:
Young COWE was launched on 27th September, 2012 on the occasion of the 7th COWE Annual General Body Meeting. Young COWE is an integral part of COWE addressing the needs of young women. Our aim is to provide a platform for young women to meet, inspire and get inspired by their peers, develop skills and confidence to become socially responsible entrepreneurs.
The objectives of young COWE are to: Develop skills that promote entrepreneurship among young women through EDPs, workshops, site visits, internships etc. Conduct awareness programs to increase the exposure to current business and market scenarios. Facilitate networking opportunities among driven, like- minded women who can collaborate and start organizations whether it is for profit or non- profit. Promote volunteering spirit and contribute for the betterment of the society. Organize fundraising and recruiting events for sustenance and growth of COWE so we can reach out to more and more women.
Ideal for: for women between ages 18-35 who are aspiring to be socially responsible entrepreneurs, students in professional education, graduates, young working professional business owners for enterprises of any scale.
Activities of Young COWE:
- Young COWE enters into MOUs with Academic institutions, non-profit and profit entities to collaborate for the cause of empowering young women through entrepreneurship.
- Create awareness about entrepreneurs for the students of various Academic Institutes.
- Organize industrial visits to COWE Member companies for the students
- Young COWE actively participates in all COWE Events with volunteers from all colleges
- Fempreneurs – A Business Idea Competition is an initiative of Young COWE. Fempreneurs 2021 has received an overwhelming response from various colleges across Telangana. A total of 106 teams from various colleges registered for this event. After 3 rounds of Idea presentation Top 10 teams were mentored by Entrepreneurs from COWE Telangana team. Finale was held on March 7th 2021 at Hitech Madhapur Hyderabad and Top 6 teams were awarded with a cash prize.
