Established in 2004, COWE India empowers women entrepreneurs through mentoring, networking, skill development, advocacy, market access, and strategic partnerships, creating opportunities for sustainable business growth across India.

The Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) India is a leading not-for-profit organization committed to promoting women-led entrepreneurship. With over 1,000 members and chapters across India, COWE supports aspiring and established entrepreneurs through training, mentoring, exhibitions, financial linkages, policy advocacy, and business networking. By fostering innovation, leadership, and collaboration, COWE continues to strengthen women-owned enterprises and contribute to India's inclusive economic development.

Our Mission to empower women across the length and breadth of the country by motivating them to unleash their potential, inculcate entrepreneurship culture, bring awareness of government schemes and benefits, develop skills, facilitate and provide mentoring to build businesses, and to provide marketing platforms, and enable networking to grow their businesses. Also to do advocacy with the government and other policy makers, by bringing forwards constrains and challenges of the women entrepreneurs.

We, at COWE, strive to empower women—especially at the grassroots level in rural areas—through entrepreneurship by imparting training, counselling and handholding to enhance their skills; even as we continually strive to enhance our services through knowledge sharing and advocacy

2004
Foundation of COWE

COWE was established by six first-generation women entrepreneurs to empower women through entrepreneurship, creating a platform for mentoring, networking, skill development, advocacy, and sustainable business growth across India.
2010
National Expansion & Strategic Partnerships

COWE strengthened its national presence through leadership roles with MSME, ni-msme, NSIC, SIDBI, the AP Industrial Task Force, and the GRoW Steering Committee. These strategic associations helped expand COWE across multiple states while earning recognition as a trusted implementation partner for women entrepreneurship and MSME development.
2014
Women-Centric Industrial Development

COWE pioneered women-exclusive industrial parks and infrastructure initiatives, creating dedicated spaces for women entrepreneurs while improving access to manufacturing facilities, business resources, and long-term growth opportunities.
