Confederation of Women
Entrepreneurs, as the name suggests is an NGO/social
organization engaged in the social and economic upliftment of
women through entrepreneurship. Our slogan “Gearing women
power” stands for the democratic structure of COWE and stands
for “Of the women, for the women and by the
women”.
COWE was inaugurated on 22nd
November, 2004 by our revered CM Dr. Y.S.R. Reddy. We have
emerged as a well organized and established organization
working towards our goal of liberating women by making them
financially independent and vibrant.
In the last 2 years there have
been many activities going on and COWE has in such a short
span achieved recognition with Government, Bankers and
Industrial Associations & Bodies. It is the result of this
recognition that COWE has been invited by the Govt. of Andhra
Pradesh to participate in the international show called GITEX
(in January’06 and ‘07), the Prime Exhibition for IT
Industries and we were sharing the same platform with reputed
Bodies like CII, NASSCOM, and FAPPCI.
COWE was inaugurated with a big
bang on 22nd November, 2004 by our revered CM Dr. Y.S.R.
Reddy. With his blessings , we have emerged as a well
organized and established organization working towards its
goal of liberating women.
