The ZDH/SEQUA Partnership Programme in India supports the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by building up the capacities of business membership organizations ‚ Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Associations and Federations of business organizations to provide improved and sustainable services to their members especially to the SMEs.

The German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH) is the apex body of the German Skilled Crafts sector‚ the umbrella organization of chambers and associations of skilled crafts. ZDH represents the interests of the skilled crafts sector as a whole, both to the German Government and its central authorities and to the European Union and international organizations.

ZDH has through its office in Bangalore, India has been supporting Associations and Chambers financially and through training and background support. COWE has been supported by ZDH through its programmes in strengthening COWE by part funding its programmes – GITEX, Trade Carnival, Seminars and Workshops and Study Tours. Experts in Consultancy and Training have been hired by ZDH in assisting and upgrading the member partners.

SEQUA has supported the worldwide development activities of Germany’s private sector. As a fast-acting and flexible service organization in questions of project acquisition and implementation, SEQUA mobilizes the know-how and commitment of business organizations and enterprises for the benefit of international cooperation. The project focus is the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises, the development of private sector organizations and the support of vocational training in the partner countries. Furthermore, SEQUA supports activities of European companies in development countries as well as in Southeastern Europe. ZDH-SEQUA Partnership programmes have been immense support to member associations and chambers like COWE.
